Advieh-E Halegh

Originating from modern-day Iran, this ancient 6th-century BC blend has been recognised with a Quality Food Award in 2021. Advieh, pronounced (/æd-v/), loosely translates from Farsi to mean ‘spice mixture,’ while ‘Halegh’ refers to pudding—hinting at its traditional use in sweet dishes. Deeply rooted in cultural practice, this blend is traditionally prepared by the woman of the household or a trusted spice merchant. A delicate floral medley of herbs and spices, it brings a timeless Persian elegance to modern baking.
