Why do you need more protein in your diet? How to start?
When picturing a balanced meal, protein is likely one of the main components you see on your plate, whether you’re aware of it or not. Perhaps chicken, rice and broccoli, or steak, with mash and asparagus. Protein is often a dish's main component, and for good reason. Spices and herbs are the perfect way to enhance protein flavours in a healthy way.
Ancient Roman Cuisine
Ancient Rome played an important role in the development of Italian cuisine, such as pasta techniques, olive oil use and grape cultivation for wine making. It cannot be considered the sole birthplace of Italian cuisine. As an overview, Italian cuisine is the result of a rich and diverse culinary heritage that has evolved over centuries, with great influence from the oldest surviving cookbook in Roman history.
Soup Origins
During the period where arithmetic was invented, 20,000 BC, a genesis of soup was also formulated. Dating back thousands of years to early human civilizations, where a simple combination of ingredients such as grains, vegetables, and meat simmered in water to support a warm simple diet.
