A delicately balanced and sumptuous blend that has multipurpose use. It boasts luxurious saffron as the main ingredient. The name saffron derives from the Arabic ‘za'faran’, meaning 'yellow'. As we know with saffron, a little of this blend goes a long way and adds incredible depth and a signature fragrant scent to stews, casseroles, grilled meats and vegetables.
The epitome of mood food, this good food blend, is of Persian origin. Like garam masala is to Indian cooking or ras el-hanout is to Moroccan cuisine, Advieh is at the heart of the Persian kitchen. This traditional spice mix is comparable to a mild garam masala — fragrant, a little sweet, and gently warming.
Earthy and floral flavours with light bitter notes that create a complex blend that works in a well formed partnership. The luxurious and complex nuance of saffron gives you an incredible depth with plenty of warmth to any dish that this blend is used. Totally scrumptious.
Instant hit of grassy, honeyed notes, you get the warm distinct aroma of saffron with an undertone of cloves that adds a subtle sweetness.
This Advieh blend has a multipurpose use. It adds incredible depth and warmth to a host of different dishes. Beef or lamb stews, chicken casseroles, grilled meats and all vegetable medleys elevated to a new level. Advieh-E Khoresh loosely translates as “stew spice” in Persian. It’s quite popular in vegetarian stews such as aubergine/eggplant stew. A little bit goes a long way. Add ½ teaspoon to begin with and build on the profile to suit your taste. It is great for adding to a slow cooker with beef, lamb or lentils, walking away and enjoying the signature fragrance until it is ready to serve.

  • Some of our blends will be gluten free, but it is important to note that some spices and herbs naturally contain gluten.

It is also important to note that these have been packaged in a facility that handles, stores, and processes tree nuts and celery. This product may contain traces of celery, gluten, mustard, sesame, soy and nuts.
Always store in a dry place. A pantry, press or cupboard will suffice. We have made that easy by housing our blends in dark amber mason jars under an aluminium lid. Aluminium reflects both heat and light, making it the perfect material for food preservation under its closing. Spice and herb blends typically have a use by date, in our case, 24 months from manufacture.
